124th Philippine Independence Day

The Local Government of Bacnotan, La Union joins the nation in the celebration of the 124th Philippine Independence Day today, June 12, 2022 with the theme, “Pagsuong sa Hamon ng Panibangong Bukas (Rise Towards the Challenges of a New Beginning)”.

Mayor Francis Fontanilla and Vice Mayor Divine Fontanilla led the Sangguniang Bayan Members, LGU Department Heads, Unit Heads and employees, together with the men & women of the Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection, led by PMAJ Jeoffrey Sanchez and FINS Edgar Culaton, respectively. MLGOO Alona Lyn Garcia also joined the affair.

In his message, Mayor Francis implored all government employees to continue doing their best to serve our constituents. This, he said, is a simple way to contribute to the government’s quest to give the best service to the public and to ensure order and prosperity.

PMAJ Precy Tangalin, Deputy Chief of Police, also read the message of PNP OIC-Chief Vicente Danao Jr wherein he lauded PNP personnel for being faithful in discharging their duties and peacekeepers as he also emphasized the role of the PNP in nation-building.
